We would like to invite you to our next Imperial DigiTalk on 30 March at 16.00 BST. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Ying-Ying Hsieh, and the topic will be FinTech: The Digitalisation, Decentralisation and Disintermediation of Finance
She will give a high-level view of what FinTech is and will discuss how digital technologies digitalise, decentralise, and disintermediate financial activities that have traditionally been performed by large financial institutions.
Dr. Ying-Ying Hsieh studies organizational innovation enabled by technological innovation. Specifically, her research focuses on task coordination and the governance of blockchain-based decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) in the context of cryptocurrencies. Dr. Hsieh is affiliated with the Centre for Cryptocurrency Research and Engineering at Imperial College London, a leading blockchain research institution that focuses on the design, engineering and application of cryptocurrency- and blockchain-based solutions.
