The Future of Creative Work” mini conference is organized by the Imperial Business Design Studio. The event will take place at Imperial College London on 16-17 September 2024. Given the recent developments in AI, the increasingly location-independent nature of creative work, and the emergence of new collaboration tools and methods, the time is ripe for building a community around the future of creative work. This conference will bring together academics studying creative work and experts from industry, e.g., designers, and user experience researchers, to facilitate intellectual dialogue between these two communities. This presents an excellent opportunity for scholars and practitioners to learn from one another’s expertise, and to shape a research agenda to investigate the future of creative work collaboratively. There will be keynotes, debates, paper sessions, and roundtable discussions around topics including AI and creativity, remote and hybrid creative work, new emerging technologies and work practices, and the role of alternative workspaces.
