Panel discussion digital assets event

The Centre for Financial Technology and IBM hosted the “Digital Assets - Beyond the Hype” afternoon, where participants delved into topics such as enterprise technology, interoperability of blockchain networks, and infrastructure.

Following an excellent intro from Imperial’s Gilles Chemla, we listened to two presentations from Professor Marco Di Maggio on existing and potential use-cases for new technologies in financial services, and Uri L., about the interoperability of blockchain networks.

Ying-Ying Hsieh chaired a panel discussing how to create and utilise enterprise-grade infrastructure, with Elli Androulaki , Paul-Angus Bark at Archax , Boris Bohrer-Bilowitzki from Concordium and Waqar Chaudry Standard Chartered.

Naveed Sultan concluded the afternoon, hosting an interesting discussion on the opportunities and challenges of #interoperability with Ezechi Britton MBE from Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technology (CFIT), Soren Mortensen, Bhavin P. Kapadia, Bivu Das at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange and Imperial College London alum and TranSwap co-founder Benjamin Wong.

Thank you to all of our speakers and participants, with special thanks to Andy Hoiles and his IBM colleagues for hosting in their Innovation Studio.
