US lawmakers threaten to break up Big Tech firms

Modern-day oil barons with a stranglehold on online commerce; Google, Apple, Amazon and Facebook have all been heavily criticised by a US congressional committee.

A report from the House of Representatives Antitrust Subcommittee said the tech giants had abused their market dominance and recommended forcing them to restructure to allow more competition.
