Over the past two months Imperial College Business School Students have had access to 8 Sector Specific Career Fairs hosted by the EFMD Global Network. It was fantastic to see so many of our students engaging and making use of this exciting virtual opportunity!

With over 1000 recruiters and 130 top worldwide business schools from across 180 countries, the events saw thousands of people signing on to embrace a new approach to recruitment. The EFMD Fairs presented a platform for students and alumni to interact with companies and organisations from around the world in a sophisticated job fair simulation environment that enabled real-time interaction between recruiters and candidates.

Imperial College Business School was consistently highlighted as one of the most active schools across the series of events which is a credit to our student’s proactive nature and drive to engage with global companies. As a result, 582 job applications were submitted by IB students and recent alumni through the EFMD fair platform!

Notably, companies involved have commented on the success of the fairs, sharing that they enjoyed meeting students from all over the world and providing equal opportunity to those who may not be able to travel to their recruitment events in normal circumstances. Many even expressed the idea that this year may be the start of a virtual recruitment revolution.

Great job to all the students who registered and attended the EFMD Virtual Career Fair Series – we hope you had some valuable conversations with recruiters and all the best with your applications.

Access to EFMD Virtual Career Fairs is just one of the many additional resources that the IB Careers Team provides, make sure to use your Career Resources module on the Hub if you're a student!
