We hosted our annual Ideas to Impact Challenge on 22nd May 2024! The event brought together academics, entrepreneurs, students and experts to explore and celebrate how we can achieve tangible social impact and improve lives around the world.
We discussed how enterprise and technology can have huge, positive social impact and address real global problems, challenging students to come up with innovative new business pitches in the Ideas to Impact Challenge.
Eight teams of student entrepreneurs had the opportunity to pitch their ideas that could solve some of the world’s biggest challenges and impact a million lives, with the top three teams receiving start-up funds and continuous coaching, mentoring and business support from experts at the College.
We closed the event with some amazing insights from social innovator and futurist Myriam Taylor. In her keynote speech, Ms Taylor encouraged the finalists to become catalysts for change.
The event was an incredible show of unity and inspiration, showcasing some truly amazing startup ideas from our next generation of leaders.
