Where you can donate to get vital help and supplies to those affected by the disaster

Our hearts continue to be with the people of Türkiye and Syria, and anyone affected by the recent earthquake. Many of our students, staff and friends are already doing much to help the relief effort and have been asking how they can do more.

The quickest and most direct way to help is to give to those charities working on the ground right now. And the best way to do that is via the Disasters Emergency Committee’s (DEC) Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal

DEC charities and their local partners are among the first responders providing urgent help. This includes emergency food and shelter, as well as other vital supplies such as winter kits, sanitation, and healthcare.

Among those involved are:

  • The British Red Cross, which has been delivering tents, blankets, kitchen sets and food via the Turkish Red Crescent.
  • The International Rescue Committee, which is supporting hospitals and other healthcare services in the regions affected.
  • Save the Children UK, which is setting up safe spaces for women and children, and getting psychological support to young people who have seen unimaginable devastation.

Every donation will mean more people can be supported at this terrible time.

We are identifying all students from the region or with home addresses there and contacting them directly to offer all the support we can. In addition, all our students have access to the Student Support Zone, while all our staff and members of their families living with them can get free professional and confidential help from Confidential Care
