What experience did you have prior to studying MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management?
Before coming to Imperial College Business School, I had over 5 years of work experience. I started out in a role called solution design, where I helped businesses understand their challenges and developed technology solutions to solve them. In a way, this role was similar to technology consulting. Later on, I transitioned into product management, working in verticals such as fintech, data, and identity. Most recently, I was a product manager at Nubank, one of the world's largest digital banks. I worked within the Platforms Business Unit, building platforms that supported product teams across the organization with tools to help them launch products faster.
Why did you choose to study MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management at Imperial College Business School?
I chose MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship, & Management after conducting extensive research. The first step I took was to gain a clear understanding of the direction I wanted my career to take. This influenced how I searched for programme’s across different schools and countries. It was crucial for me to select a programme that had the right mix of innovation, business, technology, and leadership, and the programme checked all the boxes. Now, nearing the end of the programme, I can confidently say that it is the perfect fit for me.
How does MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management help you stay up to date with evolving industry trends, themes, and challenges in the real world?
One of the aspects I love about the programme is how quickly the theoretical information translates into practical application. The modules in the programme involve talks and workshops from industry experts, who provide their insights and help solidify the content covered in class. Additionally, there are projects across these modules that ensure you stay in touch with current market information. For example, modules like Personal Innovation Development, Entrepreneurship, Business Models, and Intellectual Property require interaction with the real world, either through working directly with companies or participating in hackathons to develop product concepts that solve real pain points.
Are you part of any clubs or societies?
I am a member of the Black in Business Club at the Business School. This club has played a significant role in enhancing my experience over the past year, from the people I have met to the opportunities that have come my way as a result. I highly recommend joining clubs like this.

How are you planning to use your Master's for your future career?
My long-term career objectives include becoming a technology product leader and a venture builder. Everything I have learned and experienced in the programme directly aligns with these goals. Moving forward, I am exploring opportunities in product management and venture capital. An ideal role for me would be in a venture studio, where I can gain experience in both areas.
What advice would you give to someone who's considering applying for MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management?
Firstly, it's important to ask yourself what your goals are. Secondly, consider which knowledge and skills will give you the best chance of success. Once you have answered these questions, determine if this programme is the right fit for you. If your answer is yes, my advice would be to submit your application as soon as possible.
