Why did you choose to study the Global Online MBA at Imperial College Business School?

Prior to studying the Global Online MBA, I had over 10 years of experience working in different aspects of finance, ranging from retail banking to private wealth and advisory, investments, and capital markets. I wanted to pursue an MBA at a globally recognized university that aligned with my interests in business and technology. Considering my career journey, I also sought a programme situated in a financial centre with access to global financial markets. Imperial College Business School met all these criteria, making it an easy decision for me.

What are you enjoying learning about the most?

I particularly enjoy learning about the intersection between business and social impact. Understanding how the right investments, such as in infrastructure, can drive socio-economic development worldwide is fascinating to me. Additionally, I appreciate exploring how technology can be integrated into this context, creating opportunities for individuals and businesses to deliver newer, more efficient, and socially responsible solutions.

Are you part of any clubs or societies?

Before starting the programme, it was important for me to fully immerse myself in the student experience and the Business School community. As the Chair of the Student Staff Committee for my cohort and a member of the Dean's Student Advisory Council, I have been able to accomplish that goal. I have also had the opportunity to represent my cohort and the Business School on several occasions, which has made my Imperial experience even more memorable.

How does the Global Online MBA help you stay up to date with evolving industry trends, themes, and challenges in the real world?

One of the features of the mindset shift mentioned earlier includes instilling and developing a habit of curiosity among students. Additionally, the course content incorporates recent global trends and events, encouraging students to stay up to date with trends, themes, and challenges in the real world throughout the programme. The habit of curiosity nurtured during the programme continues to help students stay informed even after its completion.

How are you planning to use your MBA for your future career?

After completing the MBA, I plan to transition into Sustainable Finance and Investment. I aim to leverage my work experience and learnings from the programme to attract and channel investments toward infrastructure and other socially impactful projects. This approach will drive economic development and improve the quality of life for people residing in areas characterized by poverty and infrastructural deficiencies.

What advice would you give to someone who's considering applying for the Global Online MBA?

The programme's high-quality content and the rich cultural diversity in the Business School community will stimulate a mindset shift that will endure long after the programme is completed. Choosing an MBA programme at Imperial College Business School will equip you with the tools and networks necessary to achieve your goals. It is one of the best decisions you could make for your professional and personal development.
