For 100 years, we have inspired some of the best minds in the world, cultivating scholars from the junior undergraduate to the Nobel Laureate. Today we continue to attract the brightest students from 110 countries.
Every year, 550 new PhDs graduate and 2,400 new freshers join us to be educated with their peers by authorities in their subjects. We motivate and challenge our students and we are proud of how our alumni have gone on to shape society with their leadership and innovation.
Our scholarship program levels the playing field for bright, talented students who, otherwise, would not be able to afford advanced education in the natural sciences, engineering, mathematics, and medicine. We honour our past by investing in the future. After all, we'd hate to miss a chance to hone the skills of the next Alexander Fleming or Andrew Huxley.
"How does an engineering degree equip you for a career in banking?
While studying at Imperial College, I couldn't understand why we had to work endlessly on a piece of equipment. Now I am at Citigroup, I realise that my time at Imperial taught me all about problem solving. The environment stimulates and challenges students and researchers alike."
