Wandrits

Wandrits is a location-based massive multiplayer online Android game. The essential difference between our game and the common MMO-RPG genre is that the user moves around in the virtual world of the game by physically moving around in the real world, using the GPS functionality of the Android device.

The objective of the game is to care for a fantasy creature by feeding it, finding items for it, and completing other actions at specific locations in the world.

The game provides the user with a map of the virtual surroundings, displaying special objects which may be picked up, locations where different properties of the creature may be affected (health, experience, attack strength, defence, etc.), and also the creatures of other players. The map is restricted to display the virtual objects which are located up to a certain distance from the creature, forcing the player to explore the real world.

The game allows for communication between different players. By interacting with their map, players are able to challenge the creatures of other players to battle their own, to trade items in their inventory, or simply to chat. Winning a battle boosts some of the creature's properties.
