Imperial has a competitive admissions process to help us identify students who have the potential to thrive on our courses. Additional consideration will be given to your application if you meet our entry requirements and let us know that you come from a care background by ticking the box on your UCAS application.
We provide a range of support for students who have spent at least three months in local authority care, which may include foster care or living in a residential care home.
Support at Imperial includes:
- Guaranteed accommodation in College Halls of Residence across all years of study, and the option to apply for vacation accommodation
- A range of specialist services to support personal and academic development
- The Imperial Bursary (available to all eligible students), one of the most generous financial support schemes of any UK university
