Alexi Stavropoulos

Alexi Stavropoulos completed his BA/MA in Chemistry from Harvard in 2024, graduating summa cum laude, PBK, and with highest honors in his field. During his time in college, he worked with the Christina Woo group and explored the use of peptide-based scaffolds in the synthesis and development of molecular glues that target CK1alpha, a therapeutically relevant protein in acute myeloid leukemia, for his senior thesis. Now at Imperial as a Harvard-UK Knox Fellow, Alexi will investigate the development of an in vitro model to study G4 condensates and their relevant roles in transcriptional regulation.

Outside of the lab and classroom. Alexi loves to play football, guitar, run, and cook! After this year, he hopes to attend MD/PhD programs in the United States, where he plans to study to become an oncologist.
