Congratulations to Adeyanju Teslim-Balogum and Zhan Lyu who defended successfully their PhD thesis. Ade’s work analysed the response of steel and composite buildings to blast and post-blast fires while Zhan worked on the design of innovative under-deck composite timber-concrete bridges, their second supervisors were Dr Stafford and Dr Ruiz-Teran, respectively. Both did excellently during their vivas and are pictured here with their examiners.
