We have a range of bursaries and scholarships available for talented undergraduate students for 2025-entry. We encourage you to read the full eligibility and application procedure as it will vary depending on the award.
Students can only receive one bursary or scholarship from the Department of Aeronautics.

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Scholarship
In partnership with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 team, we are excited to launch the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Scholarship, created to increase opportunities into motorsport for under-represented groups.
The scholarship will support talented aspiring Aeronautical Engineers in the Department of Aeronautics where our undergraduate students study the breadth of aerospace engineering disciplines in addition to gaining computational and analytical skills, and the knowledge and experience required in industries such as motorsport.
Throughout the course of their degree, the scholar will have the opportunity to meet Mercedes team members and gain expert insight that will supplement their education.
Value: Full tuition fees and a living allowance for four years. Our five-year degrees for MEng Aeronautical Engineering with a year abroad and MEng Aeronautical Engineering with a year in industry can be supported, but funding will only be available for the four academic years taught full-time at Imperial.

Apply via UCAS for our H401 MEng Aeronautical Engineering course by 18:00 GMT on 29 January 2025. If you’re unsure of how to apply, see the step-by-step guide. Please note that for Aeronautical Engineering, an ESAT Test must also be sat with test registration closing on 23 December 2024.

The Claire and Edmund Burke Bursary
We are dedicated to closing the gender gap in STEM and actively support the advancement of women in Aeronautics. For 2025-entry, we are offering a generous bursary for a talented undergraduate female student who exhibits outstanding academic excellence in the admissions process.
This award has been made possible thanks to the kind donation by Imperial Alumnus Christopher Burke.

Value: £700 per month, for up to four years of study (total award value: £31,500). Our five-year degrees for MEng Aeronautical Engineering with a year abroad and MEng Aeronautical Engineering with a year in industry can be supported, but funding will only be available for the four academic years taught full-time at Imperial.
One bursary is available for 2025-entry.
Eligibility:
- Female students who apply for the MEng Aeronautical Engineering degree for 2025-entry and who make Imperial their firm choice (conditional firm)

Enrol on to our MEng Aeronautical Engineering degree in September 2025

Make satisfactory progress each year of the degree, to continue receiving subsequent years’ funding
How to apply: There is no separate application process for this bursary. Eligible candidates who receive an offer for the MEng Aeronautical Engineering degree will be automatically considered for this award.
Deadline: Candidates need to apply for the H401 MEng Aeronautical Engineering degree by the UCAS deadline of 29 January 2025 - 18.00 UK time and make Imperial MEng Aeronautical Engineering their firm choice by 4 June 2025.
The successful candidate will receive notification that they have been nominated for the bursary no later than Thursday, 31st July 2025.
Faculty of Engineering Kentfield Scholarships
Five scholarships are available from the Faculty of Engineering for Home students studying one of our undergraduate engineering degrees, including Aeronautical Engineering.
Value: £15,000 bursary per academic year for up to four years. Scholarship amount will be reduced if the awardee is in receipt of the Imperial Bursary to cap the total funding to average of upper cost of living band.
Eligibility: To be eligible, candidates must have attained the conditions below by Friday, 30th May 2025:
- Have an offer of admissions from the College to study a three-year or four-year full-time undergraduate course in the Faculty of Engineering starting in autumn 2025;
- Possess a Home fee status;
- Qualify for Imperial's contextual admissions route.
