Our recently-established Intelligent Infrastructure and Transport laboratory aims to provide a world-class environment for teaching, as well as MSc, PhD and PDRA research. It provides specialist facilities for the development, calibration, commissioning and storage of novel data acquisition systems. A suite of tools and software is used to provide a specialist data analysis and scenario simulation for decision support systems. It has been used in conjunction with support of field trials and outreach activities, and has been playing a key role in research-led teaching. Key lab features include a state of the art equipment prototyping facility, a temperature-controlled experimental facility and an instrumented vehicle, used as a mobile research platform.
