Focusing on the spoken French, this course for absolute beginners is ideal if you want a taster course in French, or if you need to learn the basics of the language because you are travelling to France or a French-speaking country on holiday or for business.

During the course you will acquire practical skills such as introducing yourself and others, going shopping, ordering food and drinks, and more. Grammar will be introduced gradually through active examples and practice, enabling you to develop your own knowledge at your own pace.

Throughout the course the approach is a communicative one, using interaction as a tool to practice and consolidate what you have learned.

By the end of the course, you will be able to cope in a number of practical situations, such as:

  • introducing, asking and giving simple information about oneself or someone else;
  • expressing preferences;
  • ordering food and drinks;
  • going shopping;
  • asking for and giving directions;
  • booking a hotel room
