Did you know?
- 58 Prince’s Gate was part of the Freake Estate, which was designed by Charles James Freake in the 19th century.
- The townhouse’s decorative features are from an expensive Edwardian make-over such as stunning wood-panelling and antique furniture. This remodel was likely commissioned by George Alexander Lockett, of the Liverpool merchants William & John Lockett.
- The entrance and stair-case compartment are the best-preserved, with the stone stair-case hailing from the original design.
- Another extensive refurbishment priced at 70k took place in summer of 2013, restoring the rooms and installing ambient lighting.
- There are several “hidden bathrooms” artfully disguised throughout the property.
