Course for external candidates

Designed to introduce doctors, nurses, clinical research fellows and postgraduate students (anyone who uses statistics in their work or research) to statistical concepts including: epidemiological study design; identifying and describing different data types; selection of appropriate statistical tests (two and three group scenarios); calculation of sample size for basic study designs; understanding the principles behind various forms of regression analysis, including survival analysis.

Delegate profile:

Doctors, nurses, clinical research fellows and postgraduate students who do not work at the National Heart and Lung Institute and/or the Royal Brompton Hospital.

Accreditation:
12 non-clinical, external CPD points to be sought.

Registration fee:

£250: will include handout, lunch and refreshments on both days, and optional evening meal on the first day,
