The aim of the Trauma Conference is to provide over 200 medical students from across the United Kingdom and Europe with the opportunity to gain unrivalled teaching in the extremely popular field of Trauma Medicine and Surgery. The conference consists of a comprehensive weekend timetable which covers all major aspects of Trauma Management, as outlined in the most recent edition of the American Trauma Life Support (ATLS) 2008 guidelines.
In the 4th year running, the programme includes both lecture and practical-based teaching. Practicals serve to consolidate the students’ knowledge from lectures and give attendees the unique opportunity to strengthen key practical skills. All lectures and practical sessions will be instructed by high-ranking medical staff from Imperial College teaching hospitals, including the renowned St Mary’s and Charing Cross Hospitals.
