Our brand new Alumni Spotlight event series will shine a light on talented and passionate alumni from our global community. Each event will feature an Imperial alumnus who will share their career journey, expertise in their sector and thoughts on leadership and making an impact. They’ll also share their passions and motivations as well as answer questions from the audience.
Our next alumna in the spotlight will be Emerging Alumni Leader Award Winner 2020 Ayesha Ofori who has gone from a successful career in banking to building communities. She is the founder of property investment company Axion which enables property developers of affordable housing projects to access development capital. She also works to help under-represented groups improve their financial literacy. Read more about Ayesha’s inspiring story here.
Ayesha will share her thoughts on female financial empowerment and why it’s a conversation for men, women and employers alike.
Why do women tend to invest less than men – and what can be done about it?
How should people approach personal financial investing?
What, if any, are the differences in approach between men and women?
These are just some of the questions around financial investing that will be addressed in this online event. Ayesha will also discuss property investment and why she feels it doesn’t play a big enough role in personal investment portfolios.
Following the discussion there will be a chance for attendees to ask questions.
