The BRC Genetics and Genomics faculty is excited to support The SMRT Leiden 2021 – Young Investigator Virtual Conference.
This includes two back-to-back events on 26 and 27 May: the 6th annual SMRT Scientific Symposium and the SMRT Informatics Developers Meeting.
This year SMRT Leiden will put the spotlight on young investigators who will share their latest scientific discoveries and novel analytical achievements using PacBio long-read sequencing.
SMRT Scientific Symposium, 26-27 May
This event will feature a mix of live and pre-recorded presentations, Q&A sessions, and panel discussions to enable interaction and active engagement among attendees. For one-and-a-half days, genomics experts will discuss their research in various fields. Several young investigators will share their experience during a career development panel discussion.
SMRT Informatics Developers Conference, 27 May
A half-day collaborative event that focuses on developing and improving analysis tools for PacBio SMRT Sequencing data. This event will be packed with live panel discussions including several short presentations, brainstorming and idea exchange among software developers and the bioinformatics community. This year’s sessions will focus on the advancement of new and existing open-source tools for de novo assembly, genome phasing, variant detection, targeted sequencing and Iso-Seq analysis.
