What is the event about?
Imperial College Enterprise Fund II (ICEF II) will be launching at the end of September. The launch of this fund follows the successful fundraising of Imperial College Innovation Fund I (ICIF I) in 2020.
Featuring presentations and discussions from Mary Ryan (Vice Provost for Enterprise), Alice Bentinck and Iris Good. As well as an update from the Imperial and Parkwalk investment teams.
Additionally, this event will showcase two portfolio companies from ICIF I – Charco Neurotech, a non-invasive vibrating device called CUE, to manage Parkinson’s symptoms; and FreshCheck, a company that has developed a novel colour change technology to detect bacterial contamination on surfaces.
What is the Imperial College Enterprise Fund?
ICEF has the ambition to invest in startup companies with a strong connection to Imperial College London, such as those founded by students, members of staff or alumni, or companies that have engaged extensively with Imperial’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The fund is managed by Parkwalk, the largest EIS fund manager, backing world-changing technologies emerging from the UK’s leading universities and research institutions. The College’s Tech Transfer Office – Imperial Innovations – is the Portfolio Advisor to the Fund.
The fund is an Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) fund allowing investors to utilise the various tax reliefs available.
