The IRD seminar series is delighted to welcome Professor Paul Proost, head of the Molecular Immunology Group at the Rega Institute, KU Leuven in Belgium.
Paul has a strong interest in the identification of natural chemokines and posttranslationally modified chemokines and understanding the interaction of chemokines and cytokines with proteases and peptidylarginine deiminases. He has applied and developed a number of in vitro and in vivo charcterisation methods to assess chemokine detection and activity and chemokine receptor binding, signaling and chemotaxis assays as well as investigating synergistic interactions between chemokines and enhanced leukocyte migration.
