Spring show (MA/MSc) Innovation Design Engineering (IDE) and Global Innovation Design (GID)

About this event

The diverse work of the students who will be graduating in 2022 from the MA/MSc Innovation Design Engineering (IDE) and Global Innovation Design (GID) programme highlight their motivation and dedication to creating positive change in the world. Their work also highlights talents, creative ideas, and skills as well as the power of transdisciplinary approaches to innovation, a cornerstone of IDE and GID. The programmes, run jointly by the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, is about creating a new type of innovators and global impact makers, one who will be a global leader in the integration of design, engineering, science, and enterprise, and distinctively positioned to tackle the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous challenges society and the planet face. The work presented is the output from team projects run over the Autumn term during which students formed collaborations with experts and key stakeholders to help design, develop and evaluate new concepts for products, services, and systems. These are supported with prototyping and extensive testing. The results are compelling, covering a variety of themes and topics including new solutions in the areas of healthcare, rehabilitation, and well-being; in reducing and managing fossil-fuel energy usage; and in protecting our planet. We are confident that you will be inspired and encouraged by the values, empathy, skills, and intelligence of this new generation of innovators.

The show space is open everyday from 9am – 6pm.
