Dear Colleagues,
Earlier this year, Cancer Research UK announced their renewed support for the Convergence Science Centre at the Institute of Cancer Research and Imperial College London for the next quinquennium. To celebrate this achievement, our Scientific Director, Professor Axel Behrens, invites you to join us on Thursday 21st April, from 15.00-16.00, to hear about our new scientific strategy and goals for the next five years.
His address will cover our vision for the future of cancer research, introduce the exciting research opportunities Convergence offers, and establish how we can work together to tackle cancer’s toughest challenges and bring pioneering treatments to patients faster. The Centre will build on the wealth of expertise and infrastructure across the partner institutions that will allow us to deliver ambitious, cross-disciplinary translational convergence cancer research at the scale required to address unmet medical needs in all cancers, and bottlenecks impeding innovations in our clinical practice. To achieve this, we know the importance of investing in new approaches, training and ‘blue sky thinking’; join us to learn more about how the Centre can support you in your development and research.
The seminar will be held as a hybrid event simultaneously at the Convergence Science Centre (Seminar Room) and virtually on Zoom.
To join us in-person:
The Cancer Research UK Convergence Science Centre is located within the Roderic Hill Building (5th Floor – South Kensington Campus, Exhibition Road, SW7 2AZ). Please use the street entrance where you will be given more guidance to our seminar room. Everybody is welcome!
