75th Anniversary – event at Silwood Park campus, 22 July 2022
The Faculty of Natural Sciences and the theme Champions Professor Guy Woodward and Dr Morena Mills are hosting this event for Imperial academics and early career researchers working in the area of Environment and Sustainability. This is part of a series of events at Imperial’s Silwood Park celebrating 75th Anniversary. Please see the programme below.
This is a great chance to explore new collaborations and a fantastic opportunity to visit Silwood Campus if you have never been. Places are limited, please REGISTER by the 15th July. Further information and guidance on how to get to Silwood Park campus (transport from Sunningdale railway station will be facilitated) will be emailed to you.
Programme – 22 July 2022:
10:00 – 10:30 Welcome coffee
10:30 – 12:00 Morning session
- Welcome by the Theme Champions and brief overview of Silwood Park campus
- Presentations by the Advancement, IPC and Strategic Research teams
- Panel discussion on “large and multidisciplinary grant proposals”: informal discussion on how to lead or contribute most effectively to multidisciplinary ventures (PIs and ECRs welcome)
12:00 -13:00 BBQ lunch
13:00 – 14:30 Tour of Silwood Park campus
14:30 -15:30 Afternoon session
- ECRs panel discussion on grants development: informal session to learn how PDRAs/Fellows can benefit from contributing to large and multidisciplinary grants. There will be opportunity to ask about the process involve with such bids and career progression (everybody welcome)
15:30 – 16:00 Drinks and end of the event
