Event description
Organisations are more than ever engaged in digital transformation activities. These efforts allow for AI to enter organisations at a scale that we have never seen before. An important question that business schools and management scholars particularly need to address is how AI will change and shape work relationships. David will discuss the roles that AI will occupy in organisations of the future and what the exact role of humans will be in the hierarchical setting of those organisations. Adopting a human-centred approach, David will advocate that if we want to create a truly intelligent future workforce that will be more efficient but at the same time also humane, we will need to understand how human and artificial intelligence relate to each other, what kind of leadership is needed, how the ethics, fairness and trustworthiness of intelligent technologies will require more than only tech features and, finally, how to empower and implement AI as a co-worker to truly achieve an augmenting approach that promotes the growth of human employees beyond only efficiency concerns.
