Smog event

It is 70 years since the great smog of 1952, which killed at least 10,000 people, and 50 years since the last London smog in 1972.

This event at The Cinema Museum in Kennington will bring together experts on air quality and lung health from Imperial College London and Asthma + Lung UK, together with archive footage and witness testimony to help understand the implications of this event now and for the future.

The event is chaired by Professor Nick Hopkinson, Professor of Respiratory Medicine at the National Heart and Lung Institute.

Professor Sir Malcolm Green, Emeritus Professor of Respiratory Medicine, Imperial College London and founder of The British Lung Foundation (now part of Asthma + Lung UK)

Professor Frank Kelly, Battcock Chair in Community Health and Policy at Imperial College London.

Doors open at 2.30pm for 3pm start.
