In the style of the BBC comedy game show, Room 101, participants will compete to convince a panel that their pet peeve, unanticipated problem or ‘negative externality’ should be banished forever to the depths of Room 101.

In this 2 hour session with a free lunch, we will hear from a panel of Imperial experts on sustainability and the digital world who will introduce participants to the concept of ‘negative externalities’ – from air pollution and unsustainable materials, to data leakage and misinformation.

Following this, students will come up with their own examples of negative externalities and will pitch their idea to each other, and then to the panel.

Come and help us diagnose the most pressing unanticipated problems to be in with a chance of winning a prize!
