CO₂RE and Kita are delighted to invite you to an evening dedicated to exploring the financial mechanisms required to scale the nascent Greenhouse Gas Removal (GGR) sector.
According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, to limit global warming to below 1.5°C, we must remove 3 – 7 gigatonnes of CO₂ annually by 2050. In order to achieve such large scale removals, significant capital flows into the sector are required.
This event will seek to:
- Explore the different financing models that are being deployed
- Assess how effective these models are in addressing innovator risk and uncertainty; and
- Determine what lessons can be learned from each of these mechanisms, with regards to their impact on the GGR sector and how they might evolve
The panel will be followed by informal networking and drinks & canapés. We hope you can join us!
