Join us for an engaging workshop focused on the challenges of writing short stories. This event will feature short talks by our guest speakers followed by a Q&A session, and is open to all writers who are interested in the short story form.
There will also be an opportunity for participants who are staff, students or alumni of the Faculty of Natural Sciences to practice what they’ve learnt by submitting a story for the Future of Education 2045 speculative fiction contest. The contest asks writers to envision what the future of STEM education will look like in the year 2045, in 1,500 words or less. The deadline for submissions has been extended to 23.59 on 10 November 2023.
The winner of the contest will be published in Tamarind Literary Magazine.
