IMSE invites you to the launch of a new briefing paper Addressing plastic additives. The paper assesses the environmental and health impact of additives in plastics and the difficulties with how these substances are currently regulated. A cross-sectoral panel will discuss how the huge variety of plastics on the market (distinguished by their additive content) limits recycling rates. In the context of changing national, European and global and international regulations on chemical pollution and plastic recycling, could radical simplification of permitted plastic additives be a step forward?
