Join us for an enchanting evening of scientific wonder at Imperial College London’s Christmas Lecture with Dr Robin Lamboll and Dr Jackie Bell joining us for two exciting lectures.
Join Dr Jackie Bell as she takes you on a journey through the vast expanse of space, exploring the future of human space exploration and the remarkable achievements of Imperial scientists, technicians, and engineers. In the spirit of the holiday season, we’ll also explore what it’s like to celebrate Christmas in space. From festive meals to cosmic carols, discover how astronauts keep the holiday spirit alive while orbiting our planet.
Dr Robin Lamboll explains the physics that determines how long we have to take climate action, and what meaningful action involves. Robin will explain the basis of “remaining carbon budgets” and how much is left and discuss science-arts partnerships and how the climate crisis needs a variety of skills to solve it.
This event is aimed at students in Year 11 to 13 interested in studying at Imperial but everyone, including parents/guardians and siblings, is welcome to attend!
There will be refreshments provided from 18.00, with staff and student ambassadors on hand to answer any questions you have. The lectures will be taking place 18.30 to 20.00.
Don’t miss out on this unforgettable opportunity to ignite your passion for science at Imperial’s Christmas Lecture! Get ready to explore the wonders of the universe and celebrate the spirit of the season in scientific style.
