Biography: Dr
Christian K.O. Dzuvor

I completed my PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering at Monash University, Australia. During my PhD, I worked on engineering protein-based supramolecular nanomaterials for biomedical applications (antibacterials, multivalent therapeutics, and vaccines). Soon Afterward, I moved to Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health, Department of Immunology and Infectious Disease, for my postdoctoral training under Dr. Kizzmekia S. Corbett (COVID-19 Vaccine Designer and Hero). In this role, I have been harnessing protein engineering, nanotechnology, and viral immunology to inform novel universal vaccine development and therapeutic antibody discovery for coronaviruses and other emerging viruses with pandemic threat, all in the name of pandemic-to-endemic preparedness. Prior to moving to Australia, I studied Chemical Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana. Dr Dzuvor has given over 10 invited talks, and his scientific discoveries have yielded over 15 publications in transformational journals and 2 patents. He is passionate about communicating science to the public, community or science outreach, mentoring programs, and public health. In this talk, I will present some tools I designed to protect against multiple coronavirus types.
