Title: The McKay Correspondence, 400BC – 2024AD
Speaker: Austin Hubbard
Abstract: Starting with the Greeks, we’ll trace a path through some history of equivariant geometry, culminating in a modern perspective on the much-studied McKay correspondence. We’ll discuss singularities, their resolutions, and hopefully some stacks.
Some snacks will be provided before and after the talk.
