If you’re an International Offer Holder and want to learn the real academic language and skills that you need for successful study at Imperial College London, why not join one of our on campus summer pre-sessional courses?
Our pre-sessional courses are full-time, intensive courses with a fast-paced and varied programme of classes and activities. They aim to upgrade your academic language, both written and spoken, and to advance your understanding of what will be expected of you as a student at an English-medium STEMM university. They are also designed to give you the opportunity to explore and familiarise yourself with Imperial’s campuses and facilities before your main degree programme begins. Our pre-sessional courses, then, are an ideal way of preparing for success in your first term at Imperial.
We run two pre-sessional courses: an assessed 6-week pre-sessional course and a 3-week orientation pre-sessional course.
Both the 6-week course and the 3-week course take place in London at Imperial’s South Kensington campus. Each course has its own specific format and purpose.
If you have an offer to study in October but need to meet the English language requirement, find out more about the assessed 6-week pre-sessional course.
Course dates: Monday 12 August – Friday 20 September 2024
If you have met the English language requirement for your degree course but want to further upgrade your academic language and skills, find out more about the 3-week orientation pre-sessional course.
Course dates: Monday 2 September – Friday 20 September 2024
