For those interested in the subject and who might consider applying, please take the chance to attend the in-person and virtual Information, Brainstorming and Networking Session on Tuesday 4 June 2024 from 10.00-12.00 at the CEP.
Teams and individuals considering making an application are strongly encouraged to attend this session.
In advance of the workshop, individuals are invited to share a short abstract proposal, which is available on our fund website. This is intended as an opportunity to share your ideas, help foster collaboration and engender interest as required.
Please submit your ideas by Tuesday 28 May 2024 (abstract submission is not mandatory for the submission of the full proposal).
The aim of the workshop is to identify topics of concern for global biodiversity conservation that are particularly amenable to mathematical analysis, that will formulate the Challenge questions and topics for application.
This will also provide an opportunity to learn more about the funding call, stimulate potential collaborations and networking, and inspire innovative proposals.
Following the workshop, teams of mathematicians and conservation scientists may propose bold ideas that address one of the identified challenge topics that as yet has no apparent solution.
