A Brief Introduction to Bioengineering and optional Personal Statement Talk

Come along and learn about the exciting field of Bioengineering, the undergraduate courses the department offers, and attend a taster lecture by Dr Victoria Salem, a senior lecturer in the department and our course lead for the Master’s in Engineering for Biomedicine. Vicky’s first degree was in Bioengineering before becoming a medical doctor. Her lab in Imperial uses stem cells combined with complex chemicals and lab-engineered devices to grow and test new organs to treat diabetes.
This afternoon event is suitable for students in Y10-12 students interested in finding out more about Bioengineering. Students need to be currently studying (or looking to study) maths and at least one of the sciences at A-level.
