Join us to celebrate the achievements of women in engineering!
All staff and students are welcome.

A team of students from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering has organised a special event for International Women in Engineering Day #INWED24 to celebrate the work of our brilliant women in engineering.

This year’s theme, “Enhanced by Engineering”, will focus on showcasing the positive impact of the work of our community of female engineers on people’s lives.

The event will comprise two keynotes from successful female engineers who will be sharing insights about their research and career journeys, and presentations from the department’s undergraduate students on their work and current fields of interest.

The speakers will include:

Dr Elina Spyrou, the Leverhulme Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Madalina Sas, a PhD student researching emergence of self-organised collective behaviour in the Centre for Complexity Science

Following the talks, there will be time for refreshments, and an opportunity to network with our speakers.
