We are holding an Information event on studying science at university and science careers for students of Black heritage and other under-represented groups (mainly in school years 12/13). This will be held at the Molecular Sciences Research Hub (Rooms G23/24) in White City and will involve a tour of the labs and facilities.

There will be short presentations by the Y12 students currently doing research projects in the Department along with a talk by our Admissions Tutor, Simon Gerrard, on applying to study science at university (including the new personal statement format). This will be followed by a talk by Daniel Similaki of the Afro-Caribbean Commercial Science Network on jobs in science. A draft programme is below:
