Do you have a clinical infection challenge that could benefit from some engineering support or requires an innovative chemical, electronic or mechanical engineering solution? Are you an engineer who would like to contribute to solving critical infection challenges?

The event follows similar successful events focused on intervention, diagnosis, and treatment and will bring together infection researchers, clinicians, engineers, and experts in a range of disciplines to explore clinically relevant infection challenges and how Imperial’s interdisciplinary expertise can be harnessed to solve them. Solutions might include developing new technology (both software and hardware) or repurposing existing technology (including AI and machine learning).

This event is open to Imperial College London academics and clinical academics. Please join us to:

  • Present a clinical problem: Clinical infection challenges may include, but are not limited to, problems in treatment, diagnosis, understanding, and mitigation of infections in both high- and low-resource settings.
  • Share a technology: If you already have a technology or are currently developing a technology that you would like to share openly or confidentially.
  • Participate in the discussion

Please note that the deadline for clinical problem abstracts is 6th September (23:59).
