One in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. In recent years an improved understanding of the mechanisms of prostate cancer cells has lead to new treatment options. But prostate cancer remains the most common cancer with no screening programme.

In this seminar, two experts will talk about their research into prostate cancer, including new treatments and a new trial to identify the best approaches to early diagnosis, and answer your questions.

Professor Johann de Bono is Regius Professor of Cancer Research and a Professor in Experimental Cancer Medicine at The Institute of Cancer Research and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. Professor de Bono will talk about his research on biology and drug targets in prostate cancer.

Professor Hashim Ahmed is Chair of Urology at Imperial College London and a Consultant Urologist at Imperial College Healthcare Trust. Professor Ahmed will talk about his research on developing new approaches to early diagnosis of prostate cancer.
