The Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI) would like to invite all new Doctoral students to our South Kensington Welcome Event. The event will include introductory talks from Senior College and ECRI representatives, as well as members of the Imperial College Union (ICU), and will be followed by refreshments and the chance to meet other students as well as to speak to a number of support services within the College. There will also be a Q&A panel with current Doctoral students to answer any questions you may have. 

The Programme

• 12:30-12:35 – Welcome and Introduction from Professor Laki Buluwela (Deputy Director (Academic) of the Early Career Researcher Institute)
• 12:35-12:45 – Welcome from Professor Ian Walmsley (The Provost)
• 12:45-12:50 – Welcome from Imperial College Union from Camille Boutrolle (ICU President)
• 12:50-13:00 – Information about the Early Career Researcher Institute’s Provision from Dr Magdalena Jara (Head of Pedagogy, Early Career Researcher Institute)
• 13:00-14:00 – Refreshments and opportunity to talk to Support Services representatives at stands and current Doctoral students (Tea, Coffee and Cakes will be available)
• 14:00-14:45 – Q&A panel with current Doctoral students
