Join representatives from Imperial College London to learn more about undergraduate study at one of the world’s leading universities. This webinar is for students currently studying across Africa who are considering applying to Imperial for undergraduate study.

As an example of the world-changing research that happens at Imperial, we’ll also be hearing from Dr Catherine Kibirige, Research Manager in the Faculty of Medicine and founder of The HIVQuant Project, a groundbreaking project which aims to revolutionize HIV-1 research and treatment-monitoring through the development of a highly adaptable and accessible range of HIV-1 quantification kits. Born and raised in Kenya, of Ugandan heritage, Dr. Kibirige was interested in HIV research from a young age after witnessing the devastation it caused on her family’s homeland right after a civil war. She will talk about her work with HIVQuant® and how it aims to revolutionize HIV-1 research and treatment monitoring through adaptable and accessible quantitative kits. Driven by her dedication to improving healthcare in Africa, Dr. Kibirige collaborates with scientists and commercialization experts to develop cost-efficient, easy-to-use, field-tested solutions.

There will be an opportunity to hear from current students at Imperial about their experiences.

Representatives from the International Student Recruitment team at Imperial will provide information on:

  • Undergraduate study opportunities at Imperial
  • Student life in London and studying in the UK
  • Applying to Imperial
  • Fees and funding

There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

This is an online event and those that are registered but unable to attend live will have access to a recording after the event.
