Abstract: Generative AI is reshaping the way we perform research. It brings with it many possible benefits, many pitfalls, and many ethical questions. This seminar, led by tutors from the Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI), briefly introduces some Generative AI tools relating to reviewing literature and the writing code and discusses how we can use these tools in practice. There will be time for questions and discussions.
Short Bio: Chris is a Senior Teaching Fellow at ECRI, where he teaches Python, LaTeX, Fortran and AI-Assisted Programming. Elena is a Senior Teaching Fellow at ECRI, where she leads and teaches courses in the Research communication programme, from literature review to thesis preparation.
