Biography – Professor Jethro Herberg
I am a clinical academic in the Section of Paediatric Infectious Disease, where I work in a multidisciplinary team on the development of diagnostic tests for children with fever, based on host response gene expression biomarkers. I will present the journey from recruiting patients for signature discovery, through to translation onto novel diagnostic test platforms, including a multiclass diagnostic test that is currently being tested on patient samples as part of the DIAMONDS study.
