There then be talk in the lecture theatre from 5.30-6.30pm, followed by a reception in the Wolfson Education Centre with refreshments – where you will have the opportunity to meet leading academics and view the wider facilities.

The talk will touch on a range of advance imaging science taking place in the Imperial Clinical Imaging Facility. Prof. Paul Edison will speak about his work investigating positron emission tomography (PET) studies of Alzheimer’s disease, including the role of inflammation in the aetiology of the condition. Dr Pete Lally will outline cross Faculty links with Bioengineering, including work developing new magnetic resonance imaging sequences. Dr Tara Barwick will update on the development of new PET approaches to investigating cancer. Finally, Prof. David Sharp will discuss advanced imaging approaches to the study of traumatic brain injury and how neuroimaging can be used to guide the development of new treatments. Dr Kate Godfrey will also share updates on how the CT PET scanner imaging is used in our psychedelic research.

We hope you are able to join us for what will be a really interesting occasion. Please RSVP via our Qualtrics form.
