Message to Physics class of 1966 from Chris Cooper

Dear fellow alumnus,

A reunion for the Physics class of 1966 is being organised by three of us: Colin Jackson, Gordon Wilson and me, Chris Cooper.

We’re sure that you’d like, as much as we would, to pay a nostalgic visit to the department where we spent those memorable years, and to meet with each other again.

Why this year in particular? Well, most of us have had, or will have, the milestone of an 80th birthday around this time. Why wait a moment longer?

On Thursday 1 May, we’ll meet at the Blackett Lab (the cool name for what we knew as the Physics Department) for a welcome by the current Head of Department, Professor Stefan Söldner-RemboldDepartment staff will give us a talk about the current research, and we’ll take a tour of the labs.

Then to the real business of the day: catching up over food and drink.

The exact programme will be finalised and shared with registered attendees when we have an accurate idea of who’s coming. The cost of the day will be no more than £35 per head, including food and drink.

Even if you are tentative or can’t come – please still get in touch, it would be nice to say hello anyway.

We very much hope that we’ll be seeing you there!

 Best wishes,

 Chris
