Turbocharging Your Impact through Technology Translation
Paul May is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Royal Society, currently working with the Physics Department at Imperial to encourage technology translation. Together with Professor Rupert Oulton (Deputy Head of Department for Enterprise, Impact and Engagement), we are holding an informal event to encourage entrepreneurial thinking and technology translation from your research, and to highlight the personal and societal benefits of such translation. This will take place from 5pm to 7pm on Monday 31st March in the Physics Common Room on Level 8.
The event will provide plenty of opportunity for networking, together with some short talks to highlight the benefits of translation and guidance on how to get started. Speakers will include Professors Mike Damzen and Chris Phillips who have both been involved in spin-outs from the Blackett Laboratory (Midaz and Digistain respectively) and Dr Hemmel Amrania the CEO of Digistain and former Imperial PhD student and post-doc. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided and a more detailed agenda will follow nearer the event.
